From the start of lockdown in the UK in May, Ticos got together on Zoom to exercise together from the comfort of their homes – it was very tough but fun, and great for our mental and physical health.
We were led by two volunteers from the Association, who put their hearts, souls and free time into into a guided programme we could all follow together. It wasn’t about killing ourselves trying, but going a little further each time, maintaining good posture, and getting into better shape for our daily lives.

“up, down, extend that leg further Monse, let’s go guys!” has been the call every Wednesday from the very first class for the Ticos taking part – it has now been eight months and over 25 classes, and we are still having a great time.
